Let's speak English!

I used to not like reading books for school either, because I couldn't choose them, and I always wanted to read something else instead (especially when I had to read "l'Assomoir" by Zola ... I hate that guy ...), but now, since last year, the only lesson where I need to read books is english, and we can read anything we want if it's in english. So my poor teacher will have to listen to me telling him Harry Potter 7, some Anita Blake novels and probably Twilight, New moon or Eclipse, if I can find them. It makes things a lot more interesting to me !

I was in L ! It was just an hour (or two, didn't rembember) a week, studying a book in English. In 1ère we studied Billy Elliott. It was really great, we were about ten students in that class.

Gosh, I read some Balzac too, La Peau de Chagrin, and oh my, I hate that book O_o I prefered L'Existentialisme est un Humanisme by Sartre in philosophy... Just to tell

It was two hours for me (I was in German Renforcé but the other had two hours too ^^)

They were so lucky... "The Portrait of Dorian Grey" (19th Century, London >___<) In German, it was "Ich fuhle mich so fifty fiftty" (20th, Berlin -____-)

I've never read any books in English, because in my school, when I was in 6eme, we didn't begin English, I began English in 4eme.
But now, the 6° begins English in 6°.
But in French, generaly, I don't like too much the books ...

YEAH ! Read Musso, it's very good ! You should read "Et après" first, that was my favorite ! ^^ Then I read "Sauve-moi" and I thought it was quite the same thing as "Et après" so I was a little bit disappointed. But the first was really great ! ^^

BOOOUUH, I want to go in L !!! Just to know, what do you do now, after having passed the BAC ? I ask because I'd love to do it, but somehow I'm afraid of the "after"...

At the moment i don't read anything for school... Cause my school is really POOR this year, no money until January TT'

But i read for myself... Do you know "Les aventures de Lockie Leonard" ? I'm reading the serie at the moment, and i saw they made a TV show based on the books... They're not so bad ! :]

I am in French (Lettres Modernes) at University... And it's very... Strange XD

I have never read a book in English until now... I am Translating (Now , it's the rignt verb ^^) HP 7 ... and I like it ! ... Ok I'm only at chapter two ...but I don't have very much time (Or I don't want to find the time for that ) ... Its long to translate, because I note everything (First the vocabulary , and then I translate the text word to word in French , with beautiful sentences *laugh*... So , it's just like as I was writing a book . I think I would have finished it if I had (se contenter de ? ) ... to read it.


I am going to read "Romeo and Juliet" ... it's for school , but it could be worse !


So...I stop to tell my life , it sounds boring ...uh uh ! ^^

Not traduce, translate And... well, why do you translate HP7 ? I mean... it's very long, and difficult.

I translate it because I think it's very interesting ... I mean ... *Don't know what I mean* ... So I am sure that I translate it very well (better than if I read it) cause I am more attentive. (It's not what I really want to say , but I can 't say it better (also in French ^^).

...*try to explain more clearly* ... First , I read a page , and then I translate it , because I want to have it on paper... (and also to compare with the French version)...I know it's very long...but it's not so difficult !

I can't tell you for Midnight Sun, I haven't finished translating it yet, I'm at the middle of the chapter. But for The Lion and The Lamb for exemple... well, it depends. I can translate a chapter in one day if I'm inspired and motivated, and if I only do that. But generally I translate a chapter slowly, in a week.

French grammar must be absolutely horrible for strangers, even for French people it's kinda horrible xDD
